When You Read Power Spreadsheets
As with most other websites, Power Spreadsheets will create the usual log files. Log files collect the data that your browser transmits to the server including, without limitation, the following:

We use Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc., of Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.A. (“Google”). The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website are generally transmitted to, and stored on, a server of Google located in the U.S.A. As we are using Google Analytics’ “_anonymizeIp()” function, your IP address will be shortened within members states of the European Union or in other states of the European Economic Area before transmission. It is only in exceptional circumstances that your IP address is transmitted to the U.S.A. and shortened there. Google will use the information on our behalf to analyze your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide us with additional services related to the use of the website as well as Internet use. The IP address collected within the framework of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data.
Should you disagree with the analysis of your use of our website you can deactivate Google Analytics and thus declare your objection to the collection and processing of the respective data. To do this, please download and install the browser plugin that Google provides for this purpose. The plugin is available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Once the plugin has been installed, it will prevent the recollection of the data related to your use of our website that has been generated by the cookie (including your IP address) as well as the processing of the data by Google.
We also use Google AdSense. Google AdSense is an advertising service provided by Google. Google AdSense uses, among others, cookies and beacons (please refer to the relevant section below for more information regarding cookies and beacons). The information generated by cookies and web beacons regarding the use of Power Spreadsheets (including your IP address) and the ad formats are sent to a Google server in the U.S.A. and stored there. This data may be passed on by Google to its contractors. However, Google will not pass on your IP address together with the other information that you have shared.

When You Use A Social Media Plugin
Power Spreadsheets may implement social media plugins. These plugins may display buttons for different social networks, including without limitation Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google +. When you interact with the social media plugin and/or visit a page that displays one or more of such buttons, your browser establishes a direct connection to the respective social network server and load the button from there. At the same time, the relevant social network knows that that particular page in Power Spreadsheets has been visited.
We have no influence on the data that any social network (including without limitation their owners, operators or administrators) collect on the basis of the buttons or the social media plugins. Our understanding according to the available information, however, is that if you do not click on the respective social network button, no personally identifiable data is collected and stored unless you are logged on a social network. If you are logged into a social network, certain user data (including your IP address at the time) may be collected and linked to your account information within the relevant social network. You are not required to submit comments or provide us with any personal data via Disqus to use and enjoy Power Spreadsheets. Submitted comments, Disqus usernames, times at which comments are left and any other information made publicly available by Disqus are publicly available and visible in the Internet.
